Travel back in time to learn how your family, friends, and neighbors may have lived. Imagine your surprise when you discover you haven’t traveled far from your backyard to your local park.

February: Celebrate Black History Month!

February 8, 12-3 pm Family Day: Black History Month 

Hands-on activities for children celebrating African-American culture. Held inside Woodlawn Manor. Ages 6 & up. Advance registration recommended. Limited tickets sold day of program at the Visitor Center. $5 children, $7 adults.

February 22, 5-7 pm Lyrical Rhythms: The Sounds of Freedom

Share your poetry, songs or other creative form of expression that inspires thoughts of freedom. Light refreshments served. Held inside Woodlawn Manor. Ages 16 & up. $8 per person.

February 29, 10 am-12 noon Black History Month Winter Walking Tour

A guided tour of Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park highlighting the role enslaved labor played on the farm and how freedom seekers might have escaped. Held mostly outdoors; dress appropriately. Ages 8 & up. $8 per person.
